Good morning from Sunny Phoenix. I’ve been in the book of Daniel for some time now. There is so much that can be gleaned from this book. Sometimes You have to dig deeper to find the truths that will really bring change in your life. . Here, you have to look deeper than the stories of fiery furnaces, lions dens and prophetic dreams. These are all important, but there are deep, deep truths to be found if you look for them. Dan 5 has one of those truths. If you know the story chaos has broken out. Wild party, men doing stupid things that dishonor God, and suddenly a hand appears and writes a message on the wall. Party over, everyone scared to death, no one can interpret the writing. The king’s mother makes a statement “there is a man”. On the surface, it doesn’t seem to important, but the underlying message is vital. When things are out of control, chaotic and everything is in upheaval, the world ought to be able to say of the body of Christ “there is a man or a woman on whom rests the spirit of God.”
One of the things that has put us in this position is that in the body, we have waited for some one else to step up and be that man. My question today is why are we waiting? Holy Spirit spoke to me this morning and said “What about you?” So I have to ask myself the same question. What’s holding me back? The answer is pretty simple, the man in the mirror. God wants To use me, longs to use me, I just need to let go of all the excuses, get the word in me, get on my face, get in God’s presence and he will find a place to use me, better yet, he already has a place to use me. We need to quit listening to the enemy’s lies that continually tell us all the things that disqualify us, quit listening to what other people have to say and start believing that it’s what God says that qualifies us. All of us have failed God at one time or another. None of us in ourselves meet the term “qualified”. God is just looking for someone who is willing. Young or old, that’s the basic qualification, a heart that is willing to say “here I am Lord, send me. We just have to determine to get off the bench , and into the fight. I’m done waiting, done with excuses. The season demands that I step up, so “Here I am Lord. Full of faults? Yes. Unqualified? Yes. Unequipped? Yes. But I am willing, I am ready, so send me, use me, I will be “That Man”
GUARDING THE DOOR
In her book "DOORKEEPERS OF REVIVAL", Kim Owens makes this statement, "Revival requires an open door, an access, or an entry point. This entry point is a place of personal hunger and pursuit for more of God." When we speak of revival, we are simply describing a...
